10 gentle journaling prompts for when you don't know what to write

Sometimes the hardest part of journaling is just knowing when to start.

This is a small list of prompts you can come back to on quiet days, busy days, or any day you want a little clarity.

No pressure to write perfectly.

Just start where you are.

  1. What has been on my mind lately?
  2. What do I need more of right now?
  3. What felt good today, even if it was small?
  4. What am I holding onto that I can let go of?
  5. What does a calm day look like for me?
  6. What have I been avoiding, and why?
  7. What am I proud of myself for recently?
  8. What do I need to hear right now?
  9. What would I tell a friend if they felt the way I do?
  10. What does starting fresh look like for me?

You don't need to answer all of these.

Even one is enough.

Take your time, write a little and pause when you need to.

You can always come back later.
